The Wisconsin Championship Hunting Series Invitational is a season-end event meant to serve as a showdown for the main divisions, and more importantly show appreciation to the players who have supported the series.

The Invitational is a two-day, Bird Dog Challenge Major Event. Therefore BDC bids will be given accordingly. Trophies will be given to the top three places in the main divisions: Amateur, Double, Puppy, and Single. Ribbons will be given for all specialty divisions: Ladies, Master, Mixed Double, and Youth. Playback has been included in the entry fee. Furthermore, competitors entering more than three times will have their entries distributed between the two days.

All Invitational competitors will be invited to partake in complementary meal on Saturday evening at Little Creek Lodge. At this time we will also be conducting a meeting with WCHS members to gain your comments, both encouraging and constructive, regarding the conduction of next year's series.

What divisions will be offered? All divisions will be offered at the Invitational for both flushing and pointing breeds.

Tell me more about each division. Please note that there are some minor changes regarding the division entry restrictions and costs.

Main Divisions

Amateur...	Entry Description: The Amateur division entry will consist of one 15-minute, three-bird set for one competitor (single hunter format). The competitor must have less than 80 Bird Dog Challenge championship points. Entry Restrictions: A competitor may enter up to two times, twice each day with two different dogs. A dog may enter up to four times, twice each day with two different competitors. The dog must have had one score in the Amateur Division. The handler must have had one score in any division. Entry Cost: $100.00, $10.00/entry will go toward payback BDC Bids: First-Third Place will receive an invite to the World Championships of Tournament Hunting. First Place will receive an invite to the BDC National Championships
Doubles...	Entry Description: The Doubles division entry will consist of one 20-minute, six-bird set for two competitors. Entry Restrictions: A competitor (handler or partner) may enter up to four times, twice each day. A dog may enter twice, once time each day. The dog must have had four scores in the Doubles Division. The handler must have had four scores in any division. Entry Cost: $185.00, $50.00/entry will go toward payback BDC Bids: First-Fifth Place will receive an invite to the World Championships of Tournament Hunting. First Place will receive an invite to the BDC National Championships
Puppy...	Entry Description: The Puppy division entry will consist of one 20-minute, four-bird set for two competitors (doubles hunter format). A puppy will be defined as a dog two years and under as of the end of the season, specifically May 1, 2008. Entry Restrictions: A competitor (handler or partner) may enter up to four times, twice each day. A dog may enter twice, once time each day. The dog must have had one score in the Puppy Division. The handler must have had one score in any division. Entry Cost: $150.00, $25.00/entry will go toward payback BDC Bids: First-Third Place will receive an invite to the World Championships of Tournament Hunting. First Place will receive an invite to the BDC National Championships
Singles...	Entry Description: The Singles division entry will consist of one 15-minute, three-bird set for one competitor. Entry Restrictions: A competitor may enter up to four times, with two different dogs. A dog may enter up to four times, with two different competitors. An "A" and "B" field will be available and competitors/entries will be distributed accordingly. The dog must have had four scores in the Singles Division. The handler must have had four scores in any division. Entry Cost: $140.00, $25.00/entry will go toward payback BDC Bids: First-Fifth Place will receive an invite to the World Championships of Tournament Hunting. First Place will receive an invite to the BDC National Championships

Specialty Divisions

Ladies...	Entry Description: The Ladies division entry will consist of one 15-minute, three-bird set for one female competitor (single hunter format). Entry Restrictions: A competitor may enter up to four times, with two different dogs. A dog may enter up to four times, with two different competitors. Entry Cost: $75.00, plus $25.00 optional pool
Masters...	Entry Description: The Masters division entry will consist of one 15-minute, three-bird set for one competitor age 50 or older (single hunter format). Entry Restrictions: A competitor may enter up to four times, with two different dogs. A dog may enter up to four times, with two different competitors. Entry Cost: $75.00, plus $25.00 optional pool
Mixed Doubles...	Entry Description: The Mixed Doubles division entry will consist of one 20-minute, four-bird set for two competitors, one male and one female (doubles hunter format). Each competitor must attempt to shoot at 2 birds. Entry Restrictions: A competitor (handler or partner) may enter up to four times, twice each day. A dog may enter twice, once time each day. Entry Cost: $85.00, plus $25.00 optional pool
Youth...	Entry Description: The Youth division entry will consist of one 15-minute, three-bird set for one competitor age 12-18 (single hunter format). Youth hunters may be asked to show proof of hunter's safety certification. Entry Restrictions: A competitor may enter up to four times, with two different dogs. A dog may enter up to four times, with two different competitors. Entry Cost: $75.00

What is the criteria for participation? Firstly, you must be a WCHS member. And, yes you may still become a member. Secondly, you must have met the score criteria summarized below.

How do I enter the Invitational? The best way to register for the Invitational is via phone. Please try to register by Saturday, March 29, 2008. This will allow us to draw and post run times on the WCHS website by Wednesday or Thursday prior to the Invitational. Entries will be added after March 29 if run times are available and no conflicts will be created. Furthermore, there are a limited number of entries available per division. Please get your entry requests in early.

Directions to Little Creek Lodge. Little Creek Lodge is located approximately 20 minutes North of Green Bay.

Take exit #185 off of Hwy 41/141 (approximately one mile South of Hwy 41/141 split OR approximately one mile North of the truck scales)

At top of exit, turn and go East on Sampson Road

Travel approximately three miles on Sampson Road

The clubhouse is on the right-hand side of Sampson Road
